High engine torque
Handles sudden loads with fewer gear changes in variable field conditions.
Piston spray jet cooling
Oil is sprayed under the pistons to cool them and add lubrication.
Engine oil cooler
Lowers the engine oil temperature to keep the oil in good condition and protect the engine.
Dry-type air filter with indicator
Cheaper to run and easier to service than an oil-bath filter; the indicator warns you when it clogs.
Power steering
Smoother steering that takes less effort.
Oil-immersed disc brakes
Need little maintenance and last long; the oil carries heat away for steady braking.
Dual clutch
Traction and PTO have separate clutches, so the implement can keep running while you work the clutch. Fitted as standard or as a factory option depending on the version.
Quick raise and lower
Lifts the implement at headland turns without moving the main levers. Works only with the John Deere Rockshaft.
Inboard planetary final drives
Spread the axle load over three points for a longer life, and the wheel track can be adjusted.
